I spent the morning kayaking on a local pond in Rhode Island. There were geese, ducks, herons and hawks flying all around me. The fact that birds can fly is just incredible to me. For people to fly, we require massive engines, precision engineering and a high level of skill.

Birds simply do it. They are pushed out of the nest and are able to fly.

I have to give a point to Artificial for this robotic bird, though. It is just too impressive. Humans were able to replicate what birds do best, and that can’t be ignored.

Will robots take over the world? Perhaps. But first, they’ll need to have a conversation with each other.

Watch what happens when two Artificially intelligent creations exchange pleasantries, discuss self perception and debate the existence of God.

But even these gorgeous women were subject to the same photoshop techniques that have filled the modeling profession with controversy.

“Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Breaded Nugget Shaped Patties with Rib Meat” vs “Chicken”
Growing up in the United States, I’ve had my fare share of Fully Cooked Chicken Breast Breaded Nugget Shaped Patties with Rib Meat, further to be known as “nuggets”. The way they elegantly take the shape of whatever their creators can imagine, it almost illustrates a sense of freedom that is Ameri… Errr, what am I talking about?
What’s For Dinner?
Nuggets are great when you’re in a rush and looking for a meal guaranteed to be fully enjoyed by the pickier members of the family. You know. The kids repeatedly asking “What’s for dinnerrrr?” only to be followed by an equally drawn out “Ugggghhh” whenever something remotely healthy is mentioned.
Chicken is a much healthier option. Luckily chicken doesn’t have a very powerful taste when prepared plain, and it accepts most marinades and seasonings quite well, making it a good option for the kids not always willing to try something new.
Safety Of Preparation
Nuggets are also safer than standard chicken because you don’t need to worry about whether or not they’re fully cooked.
Chicken does run the risk of carrying salmonella and other bacteria. Luckily, any bacteria you would have to worry about will be killed when you bake, grill, or pan-fry your chicken. Just cut into the thickest part of the meat to see if it’s fully cooked. No pink should be showing at all.
Cooking Options
And the toppings for nuggets. Barbecue sauce. Ketchup. Honey mustard. Ranch dressing. Bleu cheese. Hot sauce. Whatever flavors your heart desires, chicken nuggets are a quick, easy to manage delivery system to your taste buds.
As with nuggets, you certainly are not limited in your options for spicing up your chicken. Feel free to experiment with whatever you’re in the mood for. If I may make a recommendation? Marinate a few chicken breast for a couple hours with a jar of salsa (I like HOT) and a good few splashes of Worcestershire sauce until the salsa loosens up a bit. Then bake. Yum.
Ingredients
What’s in a nugget? Here are the ingredients listed for a popular brand.
White boneless chicken, water, food starch-modified, salt, seasoning [autolyzed yeast extract, salt, wheat starch, natural flavoring (botanical source), safflower oil, dextrose, citric acid], sodium phosphates, natural flavor (botanical source). Battered and breaded with: water, enriched flour (bleached wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), yellow corn flour, bleached wheat flour, food starch-modified, salt, leavening (baking soda, sodium acid pyrophosphate, sodium aluminum phosphate, monocalcium phosphate, calcium lactate), spices, wheat starch, dextrose, corn starch, Dimethylpolysiloxane.

This is a Lemato. A lemon-tomato hybrid, created specifically for the purpose to make tomatos smell like lemons.
Where do you stand on genetically modified food? On one end, fruits and veggies can be made larger and with higher levels of nutrients and even have pesticides already in them. But on the other hand, we’re manipulating nature with chemicals that could ultimately throw off the natural balance of not only the plants, but the insects as well.
Do the pros outweigh the cons? Share your thoughts in the comments or on Facebook and let’s decide what’s better — Artificial or Natural.

Artificial vs Natural is a project developed by Aidance Skincare to see where the world stands on taking an artificial or natural approach to life and the everyday tasks we try to accomplish.

They each have their strengths and their weaknesses, so we’re on a mission to match Artificial and Natural up against one another to find out which one comes out on top!

We’ll put them to the test in any way we, or you, can imagine.
We’ll see which has failed and which has succeeded each week in the news.
Primarily, we want to hear from YOU and about your experiences.

Ever rely on a GPS to guide you, only to have it lose reception when you’re driving in the middle of nowhere?
Ever try doing long division in your head without a calculator?

Find us on Facebook and let us know what Artificially and Naturally created things have done to improve, or screw up, aspects of your life. In the end, we’ll hopefully find out what the world can rely on most: The Artificial or the Natural…
